Euphoria
Art by João Lira
She cast off the bonds of mortal flesh,
A quiet defiance, a complete undoing.
In the silent void, she surrendered all,
Giving herself wholly to the cosmic call.
She feels God, it echoes deep,
A silent pulse, a hunger steeped.
No voice, no face, no love, no pain,
Just the empty, pure, profane
Euphoric now, she slips and fades,
A body lost in sacred waves.
No self remains, no thought, no fear,
Only the absence drawing near.
