MAUD

Art by João Lira

Maud stands still, breath held tight,
A tremor crawled up her spine.
Her eyes roll back, slow and deep,
Pulled beyond the world she keeps.

The air is thick, her fingers twitch,
A force unseen yet sharp as steel.
It calls her name, it bends her bones,
It claims the body she once owned.

Her ribs push out, her shoulders twist,
A shape reborn by NALA’s kiss.
For this is bliss, this is release,
A pull so cruel, a pull so sweet.

She feels the universe in every pulsing strand,
A collision of dread and lust, both raw and pure;
This surrender is more than fate’s command,
It’s a sublime release, a touch of heaven’s cure.

Have faith and feel it!
